Let’s Welcome 2012 with Some Great Events

Photo 1

It’s time for us to welcome a new year. Does it really mean that it was a year ago when we did this last? I am really having a hard time coming to terms with that reality.I have put together a list of some of the biggest and best New Years Eve parties taking place across the country. Some are as traditional as major league fireworks displays, some are a silly as a Possum Drop or as phenomenal as the ball dropping at midnight in Times Square in front of millions. And there is no shortage of big city bashes in other locations either. Plan to rock in 2012 in Miami, Austin, Cincinnati, San Antonio, Gatlinburg, Baltimore, Long Beach or any number of other cities having downtown celebrations.

Also it nice to see New Years evolving into more of a drink responsibly or drink free event. More things are being created with a family friendly atmosphere. There are some wonderful town wide family celebrations and many, many First Nights taking place all over.

As always, whatever you decide to do, make sure to share it with someone you love to create memories you can share year after year. No matter what the calendar says!

If there isn’t anything listed here taking place in your backyard, be sure to use the search to find more things to do.

My most sincere wish to all of you and your families is for a very happy, healthy and prosperous 2012.
