A Full Stage of Events This Week

When I say stage here I mean a metaphorical stage; this blog, which is a showcase of the events of the week. It is winter, it is cold and we just found out, from the famous Pennsylvania groundhog, we can expect 6 more weeks of winter. So it’s great for everyone that this week I researched events and came up with some wonderful, big events in a variety of categories and venues.

Variety and choice seem to be in short supply this time of year so let’s take this opportunity to make the most of it. Typically this time of year, boat, RV, camping and home shows are the largest variety. Oh we still see plenty of those types of shows but as we move into February we can select from a much broader pool. This week features a car show, travel show, a garlic festival, a gourd festival, an art event, a parade, a state fair, a winter carnival, a craft show, a chocolate event and even Chinese New Year. That is a potpourri of options for sure.

Knowing these facts, I now invite you to dig a little deeper, to search a little longer and to not be discouraged thinking that you need to settle for the same old indoor show. Check out some of these categories and see if you can find some in your area as well. Whatever you find, make it a family day. Look over the choices and find one just perfect for your group. Grab the kids, the neighbors and their kids and Old Uncle Bert and head on out to a terrific event this week. If you look closely at this list, I bet you can figure out what category of event I will be attending this week. (That was just way too easy) Whatever you and your pals decide to do, make sure to make the most of it and have fun!
